  • Mens

There is a competition nearly every Saturday or Sunday, with also a mid-week competition every month. New members are encouraged to join our ‘member rollups’ which is held on a Tuesday.

  • Seniors

On attaining the age of 55 every male member of the Club becomes eligible to take part in Seniors’ competitions and Seniors’ Inter Cub matches. For further information please contact the Seniors’ Secretary

  • Ladies

You will find a warm and friendly welcome from the ladies at East Herts, whatever your golfing ability. If you’re new to golf or just looking to hone your skills you can join one of the Ladies’ Academies. If you’re a more experienced golfer we have two teams in the Ovaltine Scratch League and a team in the Pearson League; we also play inter-club friendly matches during the golfing year.

Competitions are held every Wednesday morning, with an alternative played on a Saturday or Sunday for those who prefer to play at weekends. In addition to our weekly competitions, groups meet up for social golf on Mondays and Saturdays.

  • Juniors

East Herts Golf Club is keen to attract young players to become part of the Club and enjoy our safe surroundings.

Our under 18s have regular junior competitions throughout the year, played at both weekends and during the week. Junior members with an official handicap of 12 (boys) and 20 (girls) or less may also play in all adult competitions.

Medal and Stableford competitions are held each month with additional competitions run during the school holidays. Our juniors play matches against other sections within the Club and have home and away matches against other local clubs.

Many of our juniors develop into accomplished golfers, playing for the Club through to representing the County. Some have also moved into a career in golf.

  • Mixed

Throughout the year we run a calendar of mixed competitions and matches on Sundays and public holidays. These include a number of mixed friendly matches with other local clubs, mixed knockouts and mixed social competitions. Mixed golf remains popular with our members.
